The Man Behind the Lens
Chasing light, and the stories it tells
The frame as therapy
For me, the camera is therapy. I shoot everything in full manual, because the slowness is the point. Setting each dial by hand makes me stop, breathe, and look longer than comfort allows, until only the light and the moment remain.
The science beneath the seeing
Every frame is a negotiation between three values. Aperture decides what stays sharp, one face or a whole landscape. Shutter speed bends time, freezing a leap or letting a long exposure turn water to mist and headlights to ribbons of light. ISO drinks whatever light is left. I weigh the three, expose on purpose, then let the frame decide where the eye is led. The science is only grammar; the feeling is the sentence.
